Suunto is a Finnish company, founded in 1936, known for the production of compasses, diving computers and, above all, watches, created according to state-of-the-art engineering solutions, which, subjected to tests in the harshest conditions, are considered to be solid and recommendable products. When looking for a sports watch, an important aspect for me was reliability and rugged construction, so that the watch will survive even in harsh conditions. The second aspect was practical and useful functions that I will use on a daily basis, not only during workouts. The last, was the appearance of the watch. The timepiece had to be eye-catching, with its design and character - yes, that's the most appropriate word. I will review the Suunto Core All Black watch here, but from the beginning.... My first encounter with this Suunto model, was while watching the movie The Equalizer, in which Danzel Washington, uses it several times as a stopwatch. For those who have not seen, I will write that it is worth watching the first part and see for what purpose, the said stopwatch was used. Then Suunto Core All Black, I spotted on the hand of one of the main characters, in the series Chicago PD, and on the wrists of Navi Seals soldiers, in videos showing their training. Even then I knew I had found what I was looking for, and the positive reviews online, solidly confirmed it. Let me start by saying that I have owned this watch for about 3 years. It accompanies me every day as a watch for work as well as for training - running, biking and basketball. I can emphatically say, it looks like new and performs faultlessly. Minimal signs of use on the lid, from battery replacement and that's all. The only thing I changed after 3 years was the strap, as it could see the hardships it has endured over this demanding time. The watch sits well and securely on the hand and looks insane on it. The black color together with the white degree scale on the bezel make, a very solid impression. As I mentioned before, the watch is rugged and made for adventures in the harshest conditions. Water resistance of 30 meters, mineral glass, resistant to scratches and cracks, embedded in the depths of the bezel, and a proven quartz movement, make this watch, a trustworthy product, which I had the pleasure to personally verify. Moving on to the functions: There are a lot of them, and using them, more than once, gives a lot of satisfaction. We have three main modes. Time, Alti&Baro and Compass. The time is displayed in a large and clear way, (12 or 24 hours). At the very top, we have an arrow that indicates weather trends - whether the pressure is falling, steady or rising. At the very bottom, in each mode, we switch between views. Here in the time mode, we can set the display of the date with the day of the week, seconds, time in the other time zone, sunrise and sunset at our location, stopwatch, timer or leave the field blank. A great solution to display the most necessary information on one main screen. The second mode is the altimeter and pressure gauge mode. We can set one specific mode to display here, or auto mode, which will set the appropriate mode by itself, depending on our activity. Depending on the settings, we will read here our current altitude along with its trends, or check the current prevailing pressure. Also present in these modes is the thermometer function, which shows the correct values, but you have to take the watch off your hand for about 15 minutes. In the pressure measurement mode, an impressive graph is present, showing, the behavior and changes of this value. The last mode is the digital compass mode, with basic indications and the possibility of setting, the direction of our choice. One alarm is also present. The watch has a rotating bezel ring, with a present indicator for the compass, covered with a luminescent substance. There is a dedicated mode for settings, units, locations, etc. The backlighting does a great job here, with a military effect. The backlight illuminates the entire dial of the watch in a cool green color, allowing you to check the information, contained on the screen, for a long and comfortable time.
The solution, allowing you to easily and independently replace the watch's battery, is gratifying. Just unscrew the lid with a coin and replace the batteries. I will mention, yet, the presence of a storm alarm. The Core All Black measures the atmospheric pressure all the time. With the storm alarm function enabled, while the pressure begins to drop rapidly, the timepiece will warn us, of a possible storm and rain. The Suunto Core All Black, is undoubtedly an eye-catching watch with its great design, and once you get to know it from the inside, it is impossible to take it off your wrist. A watch with character, cool and useful functions and designed to last for many years despite the harsh conditions.

I received the Suunto Core All Black for my birthday from my wife. It's the perfect gift for me, as I'm an avid hiker and swimmer. The barometer, compass and depth gauge are functions that I have already tested and I am most satisfied with their performance. I heartily recommend this model!

It has been 7 years on hand. It has passed the tests of fire, water, mud, sand and air. He has visited many places in Poland and Europe. A regular visitor to Polish military training grounds. He has never failed. Several times he saved the situation with his compass or storm alarm. Only on the envelope he has a few paint chips, but do not blame him, he does not take it lightly with me.

Excellent, multifunctional simply chad

I chose this model because it has what a watch should have for expeditions whether in lowland or mountainous terrain. The plus for me is that it is not technologically saturated with everything that can be put into a small case.

I was infected with this wonderful device by a buddy, I own it for almost 6 years. I do not take it off my hand :)). He went through with me a stay in Afghanistan in quite specific conditions, where all its functions were tested with an excellent result, so much so that last week I bought another one, for a gift for my godson :)). With my hand on my heart I recommend it to everyone !
