To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Modern Skeleton collection, Orient Star brand has launched four new colour versions. The popularity of the watches in this line is linked to the avant-garde, modern design they present. Modern Skeleton has so far been associated with a distinctive colour scheme, but the new models move away from this in favour of a more subdued look.

  • Orient Star is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Modern Skeleton collection by presenting four new models to the series.
  • The first, all-black model of the line is limited to 600 pieces.
  • All watches are available in the Watchard.com shop.
  • For more information on the watches, visit our blog.

Subdued colours of Orient Star Automatic Modern Skeleton watches

Previous Orient Star models in this line were distinguished by blue, green and brown dials that contrasted with the envelope. The four latest versions feature dials whose colours are complemented by the metallic textures of the envelope, creating a visual harmony between the dial with cut-outs at 9, 2 and 6 o'clock and the movement visible through it. This gives the watches a unique new aesthetic that uses the open balance to enhance the appearance of the dial.

The Orient Star Automatic Modern Skeleton RE-AV0124G00B features a champagne-coloured dial that contrasts with the steel case and bracelet, and blends harmoniously with the yellow gold lunette bezel. The RE-AV0123G00B model, on the other hand, features an ivory-coloured dial that is accentuated by a rose gold bezel. A uniform silver look, on the other hand, characterises the RE-AV0125S00B model. Of special note is the Orient Star Contemporary Automatic Modern Skeleton Limited Edition RE-AV0126B00B, which is the first all-black model in the Modern Skeleton collection and is additionally limited to 600 pieces.

The precision of the new Orient Star watches is guaranteed by the Japanese F6F44 automatic manufacture movement, which offers a stable accuracy of +25 seconds to -15 seconds per day and a running reserve of 50 hours. The vernier is bearing 24 jewels and its operation can be observed through the transparent screw-down lid. The watches' dial is complemented by a sub-dial with a seconds hand and a power reserve indicator. The hands are coated with a luminescent coating and the dial is protected from damage by sapphire glass with anti-reflection. The water resistance of 10 ATM allows free surface swimming with the watch on hand.
