Certina DS-1 are vintage-style watches, whose design was inspired by models from the 1960s. The unique design is combined with interesting details and an automatic movement. Thanks to the Powermatic 80 caliber, the walk reserve of these models is as high as 80 hours. This means that for three days of non-use the watch does not need to be re-wound.

The originals for the DS-1 series are the first DS Concept models, which were produced in 1960. Nowadays, the retro style has returned to favor, which is why the Certina DS-1 series watches are so popular. The convex dial, the shadowing effect and the sun-cut decorations closely resemble their prototypes.
Certina DS-1 watches - reliable Powermatic movement
Watches from the Certina DS-1 series are equipped with the Powermatic movement. Its uniqueness comes from the use of a spiral spring made of a material called Nivachron. It allows for increased resistance to both temperatures, impacts and magnetic fields. The walk reserve, i.e. the time the watch runs from full to re-winding, in the DS-1 series models is as high as 80 hours. The Certina DS-1 Big Date models are equipped with a large, panoramic date display, so reading the date is no problem at all.

Certina DS-1 watches have sapphire glass, characterized by increased scratch resistance, as well as extraordinary transparency.
