The creation of the company is one of the most inspiring stories in the world: its founder is 21-year-old traveler Filip Tysander, who met an elegant Englishman, a certain Daniel Wellington, during a trip to Australia in 2006. He charmed the young Swede with his impeccable and unpretentious style. To emphasize his unique aesthetic, he took a liking to retro watches, placed on old NATO-type straps that were used by the British Navy in the 1970s. This unparalleled composition inspired Philip to design a line of timepieces that would feature minimalism, sophisticated design and have interchangeable straps.
