History of the Fossil brand
The Fossil Group, Inc. was established by Tom Kartsotis, an American living in Texas. The founder wanted to start a company that would become a strong competitor to Swiss brands and their famous movements. Only a few years after the company was founded, sales reached 2 million watches in Texas alone. In 1989, Fossil already had 20 million watches sold throughout the United States.
