You can view detailed workout analyses with trends of your activity, daily steps, calories and sleep in summaries and in your diary. With Suunto D5, Suunto EON Core you can transfer your dive logs to your mobile phone after diving and add the dive locations to your dives.

If you have a Suunto 3, 5, 7, 9 or a Spartan model, you can customise your sports modes that you prefer to use with the watch. For Suunto 3 products, you can display your speed and distance as well your track in the map. The app allows you to enable 'connected' GPS from your mobile phone.

With the Suunto App, you stay connected with phone notifications on your watch. For example, Ambit3 and Traverse watches can sync activities, optimize GPS and connect to partner services. Suunto Ambit 1 and 2 devices can sync activities to the Suunto App with SuuntoLink.

Optimize your training with SuuntoPlus™

SuuntoPlus™ features equip your smartwatch with new tools and insights to give you new ways to enjoy your active lifestyle. The features listed below are available for Suunto 5 and Suunto 9 devices (some features are also available for Suunto 3).

SuuntoPlus™ features:

  • Ghost Runner - this feature helps you pace yourself during your run by setting a target pace for the ghost runner and showing your distance to the ghost runner along your run. This feature is available for Suunto 9 smartwatches.
  • Burner - this feature gives you insight on how fast you are burning grams of fat and carbohydrates while exercising. You can display the burn rate of fat and carbohydrates per hour or view how much you have burnt in total during the exercise. The burn rate will change when the intensity of the exercise increases or decreases. This feature is available for Suunto 3, Suunto 5 and Suunto 9 smartwatches.
  • Red Bull X-Alps - this feature keeps track of vertical speed and tells you how fast you’re going up. It’s particularly useful for hikers. This feature is available for Suunto 9 Baro and Suunto 9 Peak models.
  • Climb - this feature gives you insights while hiking to the top of the mountains as well as doing hill repetitions in your local training ground. The Climb insights shows the following: Climb vertical and climb counter, grade, the running speed, vertical speed, total vertical meters.
  • Weather - this feature allows you to keep track of the weather conditions and weather alerts. Thus, it is very useful when, for example, hiking or trekking. You can get storm alarms, view information on sunrise and sunset times or measure the water temperature. This feature is available for Suunto 9 Baro and Suunto 9 Peak models.
  • Safe - this function provides quick access to GPS coordinates and other important information about the current location and your starting point (direct distance and altitude difference from your starting point, start time and arrow for direction to start point). This information is particularly useful for car navigation and when sharing the location info with friends or rescuers.
  • Loop - this feature automatically collects data on lap information (speed, pace, heart rate and distance). When cycling, power is also tracked. The data is based on location, which helps to analyze the stats for each loop. This feature is particularly useful for runners and cross-country skiers who measure their lap times.
  • Sprint - this feature automatically identifies and tracks how many sprints you do when running or cycling. It gives you information on the number, time and distance of each interval during your workout. The type of sprint is recognised based on the change in running pace or cycling power.
  • Wings for Life World Run - this unique feature helps you prepare for a race by a virtual Catcher Car. This feature is designed to motivate you to train hard every day - the car begins chasing the participants 30 minutes after the race starts and gradually accelerates in an attempt to catch up with them. The Wings for Life World Run is a charity run to support the treatment of spinal cord injuries.
  • Strava Relative Effort - the app provides real-time information about how much work goes into your exercise. Measurements are based on heart rate zones. Once you have completed your workout, you can sync it with the Strava app. Thus, you gain access to your performance data, see how much progress you have made overall and where you are in your training cycle.
  • TrainingPeaks - the app shows real-time information on exertion level and training stress score. It provides a real time view for Training Stress Score® (TSS®) as well as Normalized Power® (NP®) for cycling and Normalized Graded Pace™ (NGP™) for running. These TrainingPeaks features are commonly used in endurance training. When your exercise is finished, the TrainingPeaks metrics will be available in the summary.
