Junghans has unveiled three limited edition models: the new 1972 Chronoscope Sports Limited Edition 2024. The watches display a sporty spirit, which is not surprising given that the manufacturer has been a partner of the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships and top athletes for many years now.

Junghans: a tradition in timing sporting events

The Junghans brand has a long tradition of timekeeping in sport dating back to the 1920s and the first handheld stopwatches and major sporting events of the 20th century. The Schramberg-based manufacturer was the official timekeeper for car races, ski world championships, rowing and athletics competitions. The landmark year 1972 was the year from which this sports collection takes its name.

The Junghans 1972 Chronoscope Sports Limited Edition 2024 watch has three dial colour variants. Bright red is the 41/4466.00 model, silver grey is the 41/4468.00 and the 41/4467. 00 version features a dark green dial. Each is limited to 200 pieces. The sporty double strap on the dial and the index with the number 6 in the form of a start number add to its dynamic character. The vintage logo contrasts with the sporty-modern design, and its engraving also adorns the screw-down lid of the watch. The hands are coated with an environmentally friendly white fluorescent coating. The dial is protected from damage by flat sapphire glass with anti-reflective coating.

The sporty design of the Junghans 1972 Chronoscope Sports Limited Edition 2024 watch with short-distance timekeeping function

The envelope of the Junghans watch is made of stainless steel and features a unidirectional rotating bezel. It is paired with a colour-matched leather strap with three circular cut-outs designed in the style of a traditional driver's glove. Timekeeping precision is ensured by the calibre J645.83 quartz movement, which features a date and 24-hour indicator, as well as a short-distance timekeeping function. Timekeeping is accurate to 1/5th of a second. A water resistance rating of 10 ATM allows for surface swimming with the watch on your wrist.
