The 316L stainless steel, which Certina uses for cases, bracelets and clasps for instance, is extremely resistant, corrosion-resistant and hygienic. It contains only a very small proportion of nickel, which is not emitted when worn and therefore does not trigger any nickel allergies.
Sapphire watch crystal is made of aluminium oxide powder (Al2O3) heated to over 2000°C. The resultant sapphire nugget is cut with great precision into fine slices, trimmed and polished. Sapphire is extremely scratch-resistant, shock-resistant and is very transparent. This is why sapphire crystal is an essential element in the DS Concept.
Diamond is the hardest natural material in the world. Rough diamonds are polished for use in the watch and jewellery industry and assessed by means of the four "C" criteria: cut, colour, clarity, carat. Certina only uses diamonds that meet the requirements of the Kimberley Process, an international system for certifying raw diamonds.
MOP is the acronym for mother-of-pearl. This organic material, which Certina uses for particularly precious dials on women's watches, comes from the innermost layer of shell of some molluscs. Iridescent, shimmery mother-of-pearl is very brittle and must be processed with great care.
Since 1959, the DS Concept has reflected Certina's uncompromising standards. The secret behind this "Double Security" (DS) lies in a robust design which, with its scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, sophisticated sealing system that includes the stem and crown, and reinforced watch back, covers every aspect of the watch case. Thanks to the DS Concept, every single one of Certina's timepieces boasts outstanding resistance – a quality that their owners can always rely on.
PVD is the abbreviation for physical vapour deposition and refers to an extremely modern coating method by means of which a material, for instance gold, can be transferred to your choice of steel or titanium workpiece in vapour form. The result is as fine as it is durable: PVD is resistant, corrosion-resistant and very hard.
Certina is a Swiss manufactory with generations of tradition. It appeared on the market in 1888, and today it is one of the leading premium brands. It is a brand, recognizable not only by its logo with the symbol of a tortoise shell - it is also a company, presenting values strongly rooted in its DNA. Reliability, Swiss quality and tradition - these are the three pillars of Certina's standards.
Certina Aqua is a diver collection, which was created for deep-sea divers and water sports enthusiasts. Key features include very high water resistance reinforced by the DS Concept anti-shock system, COSC-certified quartz mechanisms and ceramic rotating bezels and strong luminescence on the indications. The models combine elegance with functionality.
Diving enthusiasts will be pleased with the Swiss Certina DS Action watch equipped with the best quartz movement with Nivachron anti-magnetic technology. The water resistance of 200 meters allows for a variety of water sports.
The Certina C032.051.22.086.00 women's watch is protected by a sapphire crystal glass, which is highly transparent and provides protection against scratches. The hardness of the glass is 9 out of 10 points on the Mohs scale.
The Certina C032.051.22.086.00 watch is a model equipped with a quartz mechanism, which works thanks to an electric circuit. It distributes high-frequency vibrations from a battery-powered crystal - these are converted by a quartz resonator, so the watch indicates the exact time. The battery life is 2-5 years.
The Precidrive caliber of the Certina C032.051.22.086.00 is chronometric precision. A deviation fluctuation of +/-10 sec. per year makes this caliber more accurate than ordinary quartzes.
COSC is a Swiss non-profit institution that awards certification to watches that meet strict criteria. The Certina model C032.051.22.086.00 has passed a series of demanding tests that confirm the chronometric precision of its mechanism. You will receive their results by entering your email address and the number from the certificate on the brand's website.
Thanks to the DS Concept technology comprising 5 solutions (o-ring seals on the shaft, crown, caseback, sapphire glass and reinforced caseback, the Certina C032.051.22.086.00 watch is resistant to extreme weather conditions, as well as pressure. The system makes the device shock-resistant.
The Certina C032.051.22.086.00 watch is decorated with luxury diamonds - the hardest mineral in the world. Certina's diamonds are Top Wesselton quality and have the international Kimberley certificate, which certifies the legitimacy of the stones used.
The components of the Certina C032.051.22.086.00 are coated with PVD, a vacuum method of coating the surface with other metals, such as gold or silver. This ensures corrosion resistance, durability and a smoother surface.
