The Seiko Prospex Alpinist Automatic SPB379J1 men's watch is powered by the Japanese Seiko 6R54 automatic movement, which consists of 24 bearing stones and has a 72-hour power reserve. The envelope is made of stainless steel, and it houses a black dial decorated with a sunray cut. The dial features a day-of-the-month date, day-time sub-dial, LumiBrite coating, GMT pointer and compass. The dial is protected by a convex sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective coating. The model is resistant to magnetic influences of 4800 A/m. The watch has a screw-down caseback and crown, and has a water resistance of up to 20 ATM. The overall design is complemented by a black cowhide leather strap.
