Xicorr - Polish watches for motorization fans
The watch market is extremely huge. There are several hundred watch companies and many more watches. Have you known that apart from Swiss brands and Japanese companies, the Polish watches are becoming more and more popular?
Polish watch brands
There are many Polish watch brands with an interesting history and good reputation. The Plantwear brand, for example, offers beautiful watches made of natural materials that are truly eco-friendly. Balticus, however, is a watch brand that refers to the Baltic Sea in its designs. And Błonie is characterised by top quality and Polish references. These are of course not all Polish brands that impress with their quality and original design. The Xicorr brand is also worth mentioning as it impresses with its references to Polish classic cars.
The history of the Xicorr brand
Xicorr is characterised by an original and fascinating design. The brand was founded in 2012 as a response to the demand of Polish lovers of motorization, who value tradition and classics.
Although it’s a Polish brand, its name sounds foreign. The name of the brand refers to the word “sikor”, which means “wristwatch” in Warsaw dialect.
Xicorr - the beauty of old cars
Xicorr in its unique watch designs refers to the history of Polish motorization. The brand’s watches, however, are popular not only among car lovers. Everyone who wishes to have a high-end watch equipped with a sapphire crystal and precise movement should choose an Xicorr model.
Xicorr has created many collections that present the beauty of old cars, such as M20, 200, Syrena Sport, or F125p Akropolis. You will see some pictures of Xicorr watches below. See more models on our website Watchard.com.
Men’s watches: Xicorr M20 Automatic
The Xicorr M20 Automatic collection is based on the first Polish cars produced between 1951 and 1973 in a Warsaw factory. The manufacturers have managed to copy the symmetrical arrangement and timeless design of the cars from 1940s and 1950s to Xicorr watches from the M20 collection.
This collection includes watches in 3 different colour versions. Xicorr X0204 is a classic black model, whereas Xicorr X0202 and X0201 are designed in casual style, dominated by brown, white and grey colours. Each of these watches is equipped with a precise Seagull ST2130 automatic movement with 26 jewels. The case is made of silver 316L stainless steel of the top quality. The look is completed with a perforated leather strap.
The Xicorr manufacturers have paid attention to details. You can see the small screws on the dial, the date display and the year of manufacture of the first M20 cars that looks like a milometer. The dial of the watches is protected by a sapphire crystal. The crown, however, which is placed between 3 and 4 o’clock position, resembles a car tyre.
Men’s watches: Xicorr 200 Automatic
The Xicorr 200 Automatic collection is a continuation of the M20 collection that refers to the Polish car Warszawa 200 (M20.57) from 1957 manufactured as the upgraded variant of the M20 car.
The Xicorr 200 collection has been inspired by the characteristic Warsaw 200 car grille and the arrow on the bonnet. Each Xicorr 200 Automatic men’s watch features a car grille, which is placed not only on a dial, but also on a steel case back. The arrow, however, is used on the second hand ending. Index numbers are the same as in the car clocks and speedometers of the Warszawa car. The crown, similarly as in the M20 collection, looks like a car tyre.
Xicorr 200 Automatic watches are available in different colours. The most frequently chosen models are X0206 and X0209. They feature black leather straps and the distinctive red dials. Only good quality materials were used in the production of these watches, namely 316L stainless steel and sapphire crystal with anti-reflection coating. The Japanese automatic movement TMI (Seiko) NH35A, however, guarantees time precision and accurate display of date.
