The brand producing Swiss watches Alp ina was founded in the late 19th century - in 1883 in Geneva. The first originator, Gottlieb Hauser, founded the Swiss Watchmakers Corporation, thus bringing together a group of watchmakers - calling themselves "Alpinists" - who wanted to switch to manufactory production.
