This is G-SHOCK's third collaboration with NBA player Rui Hachimura, who until recently played for the Washington Wizards and is now a fresh member of the Los Angeles Lakers squad. He is also known for playing for the Japanese national basketball team. The relationship between Casio and Rui Hachimura is simple, both the player and the brand have their roots in Japan. That’s why the new timepiece pays homage to the Land of the Rising Sun.
Casio G-SHOCK Classic Rui Hachimura men’s timepiece is a limited edition. The DW-6900RH-2ER watch offers a new level of freshness compared to previous Hachimura watches and is a significant upgrade, especially for the biggest fans of the basketball player who will now have a unique accessory to their collection. The watch's design is based on the classic digital model DW-6900 from 1995, which was widely popular in streetwear and hip-hop communities. Unlike previous watches from the Hachimura collection, this one features a plastic case.
The design of the Casio G-Shock watch with translucent blue bezel and white case is based on the snowy Tateyama mountain range in Toyama, the region where Hachimura was born. The stripe depicts snowy mountain peaks and the blue shapes on the dial act like a hypsometric map. To mark the collaboration, the analogue part of the dial incorporates the name of the basketball player. The watch also features the Japanese character 8 (八) on the caseback and digital display (visible when illuminated).
The G-SHOCK Classic Rui Hachimura DW-6900RH-2ER watch, just like other G-SHOCK timepieces, is equipped with lots of useful features, including a stopwatch, date display, Illuminator, Display Flasher, timer, multi alarm, automatic calendar, 12/24-hour format and water resistance of 20 ATM.
