The Venezianico brand presents the new Nereide Ceramica model with a dial finished with enamel. The watches will be available in two colour variants and with two types of straps. In the initial round, there will be a limited stock of 300 watches featuring a black dial and 200 watches with a white dial. These models will be arriving soon at Watchard!
The dial of the new Nereide Ceramica is inspired by the ancient tradition of Venetian enamelwork, a sophisticated technique that has adorned artworks and jewellery with stunning enamel since the Middle Ages. By carefully applying and firing the enamel at high temperatures, it becomes fused onto the dial's surface, creating a smooth and lustrous finish that gives the watch's dial unparalleled durability and timeless beauty. It is worth noting that firing enamel dials is very difficult and extremely time-consuming. Typically, this technique is used on high-cost watches only.
The watches will be available with a white or black dial and either a white or black rubber strap or Canova bracelet. The Venezianico rubber bands are meticulously crafted in Italy using top-notch thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). This material boasts several distinctive characteristics, including:
Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that Venezianico rubber straps are resistant to dust accumulation.
The 42mm case made of 316L stainless steel comes with the black bezel insert made of high-quality ceramic. The watch is powered by the Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement with a 41-hour power reserve. The dial is complemented by a date display, a seconds hand as well as hands and stick indices coated with Super-LumiNova BGW9. The watch face is protected by sapphire glass with anti-reflective coating on the inside.
