Made with passion for creation, a unique calibre V3290 with a visually appealing design is the result of a collaboration between two powerful brands, Venezianico and Soprod SA. The Italian-Swiss collaboration has led to the creation of a masterpiece of micro-engineering. What functions and parameters does the V3290 calibre have?

Swiss expertise and Italian aesthetics

Venezianico takes a comprehensive approach to conveying the beauty of its timepieces. On the one hand, the brand’s designs are based on harmony, great proportions, colour and perfection, on the other the company cares about the inside of the watch – it is not without reason that the movement is said to be the heart of the watch. To create the V3290 calibre, the brand partnered with Soprod SA, a Swiss watch production company located in Sion, the capital of the Canton of Valais. This region is most known for production of precise Swiss calibres. Its history dates back to 1966. That’s why Venezianico had no doubts about the choice of partner. From the initial encounter, the Italian company was struck by the individuals at Soprod, specifically by their passion for the craft of watchmaking and their skillful movements while working on calibres.

A richly decorated movement

The initial discussion between Venezianico and Soprod on this project took place in mid-2022. The project was undertaken with the goal of creating something exceptional, not just a traditional Swiss calibre. The aim was to achieve a modern and visually striking design, while also ensuring superior performance. This is how the V3290 calibre, acclaimed by Venezianico as the new quality standard, was created. Sandblasted bridges contribute to the peculiar balance and the details capture the uniqueness of this project. The design of the rotor is very complex. Together with Soprod engineers, Venezianico developed a skeletonized shape with wide openings that allow to fully appreciate the movement in its entirety. The exposed wheels and rubies are visually pleasing, especially for collectors of automatic watches. The rotor is embellished with a rhodium bath, which adds the final finishing touch adorning its surface. 

Technical specifications of calibre V3290 

The base of the V3290 movement is the famous Soprod C125 and has therefore the same technical specifications: bidirectional winding, Incabloc anti-shock system and a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. A watch has an independent central GMT hand and a date function. Its power reserve is 42 hours. The accuracy of the V3290 movement is -4/+6 seconds/day. The correct accuracy of timepieces is taken care of by experts, senior watchmakers and certified masters who are in charge of the final assembly of Venezianico watches.
