Accurate timekeeping with a chronograph
A chronograph for precise measurement of a segment of time up to 1/100th of a second - it is used by athletes and amateurs who want to regularly measure their performance and achievements during training. Where can we find it? If you are not sure whether your watch has a chronograph, pay attention to the buttons on the sides of the crown. Three buttons including the crown tell you that this is the watch equipped with a chronograph.
Tachymeter - measure your speed with your watch.
Tachymeter is an invaluable function when running, swimming or cycling. It is usually present in watches in the form of graduations on the bezel around the envelope or around the dial. Thanks to the tachymeter, we can easily determine our speed over a distance of one kilometer or one mile. This value is expressed in km/h or mph, or miles per hour.
What is the barometer used for?
The barometer is a very useful function, with the help of which we can keep track of the current weather conditions and their predicted changes. Thanks to the built-in alarm, the watch will warn us in case of unfavorable weather. This function makes each of our trips significantly and noticeably gain in safety issues. This is an excellent feature for active people who enjoy trekking, climbing or survival.
With a compass you will never get lost!
A compass is a very useful feature for active leisure activities. Now you no longer need to have a separate device to check your location. It is worth it to purchase a watch with a compass. How does the compass work? To do this, we need to point the hour hand towards the sun. If it is not yet noon, divide in half the angle that it and the one o'clock mark. The line of intersection determines the north-south axis. The convex angle indicates the south direction. Hour one is a rounding off resulting from the aforementioned differences between local and solar time. The reference point should depend on where you are.
Watches with bluetooth - a practical addition to any smartwatch
Bluetooth is a feature that makes everyone's life easier. Thanks to it, it is possible to take advantage of many functions previously available only through the operation of a smartphone. Automatically update the time, control your phone, receive notifications and calls, and even change the music you are listening to, for example, while running or cycling. Not enough? Some smartwatches have a shutter-release function for the smartphone's camera. That is, in practice, thanks to bluetooth you can take pictures with your watch!
