How does a tachymeter work and how to use it?

In order to measure our speed on the distance of 1000 meters, we need to turn on the chronograph - its hand will measure the time. After 1 km, we have to stop the chronograph and the tachymeter automatically should tell us the average speed. So if we cover a distance of 1000 meters in 20 seconds, the function should show us 180 km/h.

Which watches have a tachymeter function?
