The Swatch brand is once again surprising watch lovers by presenting the latest fruit of its collaboration with the legendary Omega. The Bioceramic MoonSwatch Mission to the Super Blue Moonphase is not just another instalment of the popular series, but a true revolution in the world of affordable space-inspired watches. Following on from the iconic Speedmaster, the new model takes the 'Moonwatch' legacy to a whole new level while symbolising a rare astronomical phenomenon.
The latest Bioceramic MoonSwatch Mission to the Super Blue Moonphase model impresses with its design. The main features are the various shades of blue that dominate throughout the watch. The silvery panda-type dial with contrasting dark blue elements and a wide minute scale bezel is just the beginning. At 2 o'clock there is a unique double indication of the moon phases, which gains an original blue glow under UV light. The whole is completed by a textile Velcro strap in blue.
Swatch x Omega Bioceramic MoonSwatch Mission to the Super Blue Moonphase is not only about beauty, but also about advanced technology. The 42 mm diameter envelope is made of Swatch 's patented bioceramic, which guarantees durability and lightness. The quartz mechanism ensures precise operation and the whole is perfectly protected against external influences. Also noteworthy is the novelty of a pulsometric graduation instead of the traditional tachometric graduation, making this model even more unique.
The Bioceramic MoonSwatch Mission to the Super Blue Moonphase model offers a range of functions to satisfy even the most demanding wearer. The indexes, hour and minute hands and the stopwatch seconds hand are coated with a luminescent compound for excellent visibility in the dark. The watch's caseback, as in previous editions, features the embossed slogan"Mission to the Moon". An additional hidden detail is the Super Blue Moon inscription, appearing on the element obscuring the moon phase indication disc.
The Swatch watch x Omega Bioceramic MoonSwatch Mission to the Super Blue Moonphase will be available in selected Swatch shops from 1 to 19 August 2024. Its limited availability makes it highly desirable in the watchmaking market and can be not only a unique accessory but also a true collector's watch.
