Traser® P96 OdP Evolution Chrono continues to produce watches for military purposes. At the beginning, civilians weren’t allowed to buy traser watches at all. The watches were available on special orders and were only sold to military organisations and units, e.g. the US Army, Spetsnaz, the "Green Berets" etc. It wasn’t until the beginning of the 21st century that watches became available for sale to anyone. The brand quickly gained recognition among lovers of active leisure. Today, traser® watches are an essential piece of equipment for many survival, bushcraft and hunting enthusiasts.

When describing tactical watches, it's impossible not to mention the technology that gives them their legendary durability. Its cases are made of very lightweight and reliable glass-fibre reinforced polymer. It’s characterised by a very high scratch resistance and excellent flexibility. As a result, it perfectly dampens vibrations and absorbs forces caused by impacts. The material is 100% hypoallergenic, antimagnetic and corrosion-resistant. In addition, the material is available in any colour and has low thermal conductivity, which means that it doesn't heat up. The material provides a kind of armour for the watch movement.

The designers of traser® wanted to reduce the weight of the watch - it’s important for a watch to be lightweight in the military. Traser watches weigh between 97 grams (models with a NATO textile strap) to 102 grams (models with a rubber strap). The dial is protected by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal. This antireflective surface coating improves readability and eliminates light reflections.

Tactical watches from the P69 OdP Evolution Chronograph collection have a water resistance rating of 20 ATM. This makes them perfect for swimming and even diving to depths of several metres or more.

The trigalight® technology was developed by the Swiss microtechnology company mb-microtec ag. The technology uses tritium-filled glass tubes to deliver a permanent illumination for even 25 years without any external energy source.
