A rainbow IP coating applied to the bezel of the G-SHOCK MTG-B3000PRB watch
The manufacturer applies a series of innovative techniques to the stainless steel bezel of the G-SHOCK MTG-B3000PRB watch. Firstly, the bezel undergoes recrystallisation and deep-layer hardening processes to form a hard layer on the surface of the material and create a distinctive and flawlessly glossy texture. Through the deep-layer hardening process, carbon is infused into the surface of the steel, delivering enhanced strength. Then, to replicate the mesmerising look of the aurora borealis observed from space, a rainbow IP coating is skillfully applied to the surface.

The case back of the watch features a meticulously crafted design with raised sides that seamlessly interlock with the top bezel, resulting in a metal exterior and a profound look. To achieve exceptional rigidity, integrated moulding is employed, involving a series of forging, cutting and polishing processes. Moreover, a unique finish is created by applying a rainbow IP coating to the surface of the material and using a repolishing process that involves removing the coated layer from the raised portions on the back of the case. This ingenious design technology beautifully combines the original gleam of the metal with a mesmerising array of shifting, multi-coloured hues.
Dual Core Guard structure: compact form and lightness of the G-SHOCK MTG-B3000PRB
The robust Dual Core Guard structure protects the module with a carbon fibre-reinforced resin case, complemented by sturdy metal components that enclose the case. The sides of the case back are raised, serving as lugs that connect the bands to the case. The model is extremely robust, yet compact and lightweight. The band is made of a translucent resin in a captivating purple hue that beautifully captures the colouration of the aurora borealis. The buckle is adorned with a purple IP coating, while the band loop features a brown IP finish. Changing the band is a breeze, as you can simply press the buttons located on both sides of the lugs. No special tools are required.
Functionality of the G-SHOCK MTG-B3000PRB
The Casio G-Shock model boasts advanced functionality and shock resistance. Its design has been optimised, using smaller, slimmer parts and integrating electronic components with high-density mounting technology. The watch has a slim, compact profile while offering functions such as Smartphone Link, radio control, solar power, Bluetooth and Super Illuminator (a high-brightness LED light that ensures readability in the dark). The dial is covered with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with an internal anti-reflective coating.
