CIGA Design Blue Planet GPHG Titanium U031-TU02-W6U is a men's automatic watch whose movement won the Challenge Watch Prize at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) in 2021. The dial, with its precise micro-engraving faithfully reproducing the continents and oceans, uses two rings: a static hour ring and a 360° rotating minute ring, which work together using Asynchronous Follow technology. The modified gear ratio of the mechanism allows the hours and minutes to be indicated simultaneously by a single indicator in the form of a compass symbol. The watch is powered by an automatic, proprietary CIGA Design movement with a power reserve of up to 40 hours. The titanium case is lightweight, which significantly improves wearing comfort while maintaining a solid construction. The dial is protected by double-curved sapphire crystal, and the whole is complemented by a blue fluorine rubber strap, resistant to abrasion, corrosion, and temperature changes. Water resistance of 3 ATM means resistance to minor splashes.
