Lucz watches - more than 60 years of tradition
The history of the Lucz (Luch) brand is inextricably linked with Minsk Watch Factory. The brand was founded as a response to the demand for watches in the Soviet Union. For the first years it was going through a real crisis - there was a shortage of materials, machinery, specialists. However, the authorities found a solution to this problem - they hired students from Minsk Polytechnic University, who were trained to build the factory. Nowadays, there is a well-known saying among the employees of the place that the first professional specialty of Minsk watchmakers was construction helper. The brand immediately bought into the expectations of the public. In the 1990s, due to political changes, there was a slowdown in the development of the factory, but it resulted in a major modernization of production. Since 2010, Swiss luxury watch manufacturer Frank Muller International BV has held the majority of the brand's shares.
