Junghans Max Bill - a return to the roots
The Max Bill collection are unique watches designed to commemorate the collaboration with architect and painter Max Bill, which began in 1956. They are distinguished by their classic cut, minimalist dial and subdued colors, which makes them able to emphasize the individuality and style of their owner. The Junghans men's max bill Automatic 027/4701.02 watch features a silver-colored envelope. It was manufactured from stainless steel, which provides protection for the device in case of dings and scratches. The analog dial was protected by flexible and impact-resistant sapphire glass. The whole thing is held on a black leather strap. At the heart of the device is the Junghans J800.1 Swiss automatic movement, which is set on 25 jewels.
Junghans - innovative solutions since 1861.
The founders of the Junghans brand, founded on April 15, 1861 in Schramberg, Germany, were Erhard Junghans and his brother-in-law Jakobe Zeller-Tobler. Many years later, in 1903, the company had the world's largest clock factory, with more than 3,000 employees. In 1927 Junghans began designing watches with mechanical winding. In the 1950s, through hard work and refinement of successive calibers, the company established a partnership with Bauhaus designer Max Bill, culminating in a mechanical wristwatch with a distinctive minimalist design, launched in 1961. At the end of the 1980s, the first radio-controlled table clock was produced, in 1990 the first radio-controlled wristwatch appeared, called the MEGA 1, while five years later the company unveiled a solar watch with a ceramic case that was innovative for its time. To this day, Jungahns remains faithful to the simple, elegant form of its products, combining it with the latest developments in the watchmaking industry.
