The Glycine Combat Classic Moon Phase Automatic GL0194 watch is a Swiss timepiece, designed for men who appreciate craftsmanship in their objects. The watch features an envelope and bracelet made of high-quality stainless steel with a silver-gold color scheme that is non-allergenic. The legible, signature "Glycine" silver dial is covered by a sapphire crystal with triple anti-reflective coating, which will perfectly defend against even the toughest kind of scratches. The watch is additionally equipped with an ornate pendulum, a day of the month date, a moon phase indicator, a screw-down and transparent caseback, as well as indexes and hands coated with a luminescent layer. Water resistance, set at 50 meters, protects the mechanism from negative effects of water, such as when washing the car or using the shower.
Glycine - history
Glycine was founded in 1914 in the Swiss town of Bienne. The brand name refers to the French term for the noblest vine. In 1930, the owner - Eugen Meylan - created the world's first automatic mechanism, which revolutionized the manufacture of timepieces in the world. Glycine also became famous for the interesting design of its collections, often modeled on aviation and military motifs.
