Brand
Aviator is a Swiss brand that was born out of a passion for aviators and the art of watchmaking. Since 2000, the company has focused on creating precision watches with original retro design and modern equipment. Aviator's collections refer to the rich history of aviation, whose thriving development began with the Wright brothers' first successful flight on December 17, 1903.
Douglas Collection
Aviator's inspiration for the design of the Douglas series came from the American Douglas DC-3 aircraft, which began the massive period of air travel in the 1930s and 1940s. The first flight took place on December 17, 1935.The watch's distinctive V.3.32.2.270.4 design and style allude to the design of this very machine, its cockpit and rudder action (working pendulum of the mechanism).
Douglas DC-3 series
The Aviator Douglas DC-3 collection impresses with its minimalist style, slim case and art déco details, such as guilloche rings. The V.3.32.2.270.4 watch is equipped with an automatic movement and {glass_low} glass. The design of the famous Douglas DC-3 is referenced by both the shape of the polished envelope and the neckpiece depicting a function for calculating the rudder swing.
Limited Edition
The limited edition, which produced the Aviator V.3.32.2.270.4 watch, was released to the world market in a strictly limited edition. Each model is marked with an individual number, which is engraved on the back of the envelope on the caseback.
Automatic mechanism
The Aviator V.3.32.2.270.4 men's watch is equipped with a high-precision Sellita SW200-1 movement. It is an automatic movement with the Incabloc Novodiac anti-shock system. It has a walk reserve of 38 hours and a frequency of 28'800 A/h. The three-hand version of this mechanism with date complication has 26 bearing stones.
Sapphire glass
Sapphire glass is a very hard material (9/10 points on the Mohs scale) that protects the dial of the Aviator V.3.32.2.270.4 watch from most scratches. This is due to its manufacture from high-quality pure alumina treated at high temperatures. This type of glass also has the advantage of good transparency, eliminating 99% of the reflections perceived by the human eye.
Super-LumiNova®
The Aviator V.3.32.2.270.4 watch uses Super-LumiNova technology, which is a modern and non-radioactive luminescent coating based on strontium aluminate. It is applied to indexes, hands and dials. Thanks to exposure to any light source, it provides full legibility in the dark according to ISO 3157 standards.
PVD
The Aviator V.3.32.2.270.4 is a men's watch with a luminescent Super-LumiNova coating, which is applied to, among other things, hands and indexes and even entire dials. This state-of-the-art technology, based on strontium aluminate and REACH-compliant, offers efficient illumination of indications in the dark. The mass is highly resistant to temperature, fading and aging.
Butterfly clasp
The Aviator V.3.32.2.270.4 is equipped with a particularly pleasant-to-use butterfly clasp with an easy buckle locking system. Convenient donning is ensured by two release buttons and an adjustable buckle (on models with a leather strap).
Waterproof to 100 meters
A water resistance rating of 20 ATM means that no water can get inside the Aviator V.3.32.2.270.4 watch. This protects the model from major flooding while swimming and diving without an aqualung, or practicing other water sports of your choice.
