Barometer (260 / 1.100 hPa)

3/10/26100%I've had it for years—I don't even know how many :)—a companion through thick and thin. I also have other G-SHOCKS; I think my first one was from the '90s, and it still works. But to the point: it sat in a drawer for about two years, and when I took it out, the backlight wasn’t working and there was no sound when I pressed the buttons. All I had to do was put it in the sun to recharge, and everything went back to normal. That’s why I love it. Big, chunky, and super light—perfect for the gym, the shooting range, the pool, tinkering with the car, fishing, or home renovations. Sometimes when I go to a business meeting, I put it on, because every other guy has a Breitling or a Rolex, and it makes me laugh when they stare at my wrist and wonder what it is :)) and they always, always ask what kind of watch it is. Maybe it doesn’t quite go with a suit—I have something else for that—but it goes with everything else. When I go on vacation, near or far, no matter where—it’s always on my wrist. It’s my good friend, one I can always rely on. Finally, here’s a story: I’m sitting on the platform in Kraków, evening—I rarely take trains, but it just so happened that day—and this unremarkable guy sits down next to me, a big guy, and I’m not exactly small either. He keeps staring at me every few moments, and I think, “Something’s about to happen,” but he asks how the watch is holding up, says he works on construction sites and had been thinking about it for a long time because he’d heard it’s super durable, and of course we talked about watches the whole way. The watch itself is, in my opinion, the best G-SHOCK model out there. Affordable price, nice design, functionality, etc.—this all-around model is perfect for any guy (not to be confused with those who wear skinny jeans and leggings with bare calves). The only downside I’ve noticed is that... It doesn’t walk the dog?

This review will be helpful for those who are undecided, because I won’t write a single word for those who are already sold on this watch—there’s no point; they know what they’re buying. This is my second Casio; my Pathfinder, however, bit the dust—it couldn’t keep up with me. The GW-9400, however, is tough; it’s been holding up for three years with me—I don’t know if anything could kill it. Solar-powered, so you’ll never have to worry about changing the battery; awesome sensors; a thermometer (just set it to wrist mode and it shows the temperature correctly); and what else can I say: the GW-9400 is a legendary watch—buy it and you won’t regret it. After a few sleepless nights and watching countless videos online, I finally settled on the “legendary” Rangeman GW-9400-1ER.
At first glance, the watch is less black and not as big as I thought it would be; it’s just thicker and a little heavier than my current Pro Trek.
The Rangeman is beautiful, massive, solid, suitably heavy, and authentic—not “fake” like a smartwatch. It has everything I need in a watch—it’s “indestructible,” maintenance-free, solar-powered, plus much, much more—and on top of that, it’s already a legend. It’s not complicated if you’ve dealt with Casio before.

One year after the purchase of the first GBD-800-2ER model, the collection already has 7 items, and the last purchase is the GW-9400-1ER. The watch, although it does not differ in appearance with anything special from other electronic models from the G-SHOCK series, has something to do with it. I wanted to buy it for a long time, I watched it live a few times in the store, at work I had the opportunity to see it on the client's (builder's) wrist - the watch is covered in dust, dirt, but the client himself said - G-SHOCK is impossible to overcome. It is not a cheap watch - I thought to myself - why do I need such a dear one, I already have other models - but it was stronger than me. I was wondering between the 1ER and 1BER versions, but I have the GX56-BB model and the readability of the negative displays is a bit worse than the positive ones, and the Rangeman has quite a lot of options that I think are better seen on the positive display. I am very pleased with the purchase, I do not want to remove the watch from my hand. You can feel that you have it on your hand, it weighs a little, but only because it has temperature, pressure sensors, compass, etc. Solar charging and connectivity with an atomic clock are also positive. Contact with clockownia.pl to negotiate the price and order went very smoothly, and the shipment to the parcel locker was even faster. Thank you for the discount on buying a really great watch. A year after buying my first one, the GBD-800-2ER model, my collection now numbers seven pieces, and my latest addition is the GW-9400-1ER. Although the watch doesn’t stand out in any special way from other electronic models in the G-SHOCK series, it still has that certain something. I’d been thinking about buying it for a long time, I’d seen it in person at the store a few times, and at work I had the chance to see it on a client’s (a construction worker) wrist—the watch was covered in dust and dirt, but the client himself said, “A G-SHOCK is indestructible.”
It’s not a cheap watch—I thought to myself—why do I need such an expensive one, I already have other models—but I just couldn’t resist. I was debating between the 1ER and 1BER versions, but I own the GX56-BB model, and the readability of the negative displays is a bit worse than the positive ones, and the Rangeman has quite a few options that, in my opinion, are better visible on a positive display. I’m very happy with the purchase; I don’t want to take the watch off my wrist. 1/6/20100%In a letter to St. Mikołaj, I wrote that I was very polite and I would like a Casio G-Shock GW-9400 as a gift. I think Elves of St. Nicholas, because I found a brand new Rangeman under the Christmas tree. Why did I choose this watch? Years ago I had a GW-9200 Riseman and I wanted to have an all-round G-Shock again. The choice seemed obvious - Riseman's successor, the Rangeman GW-9400-1ER. This watch is like my multitool that I always carry with me. I mainly use a knife in it, but you never know when pliers, scissors or something else will come in handy. It's the same with Rangeman. It has tons of features that aren't used very often, but are sometimes useful, and knowing that they can be used at any time makes the watch even more enjoyable. What is not there ... Synchronization with the atomic clock, barometer, storm alarm triggering with a strong drop in pressure, thermometer, altimeter, sunrise and sunset, stopwatch, world time ... You can exchange a long time. It's a watch made for harsh conditions, so you'd expect it to be awkward and clunky. Nothing could be more wrong. The workmanship is very precise, everything fits perfectly, the buttons work very lightly, and the materials used are of high quality. The display is legible, the backlight evenly illuminates it. Everything is closed in a light and very comfortable envelope, which, despite its size, looks great on any wrist. The set includes everything provided by the manufacturer, plus, of course, a Polish warranty provided by an authorized Casio service center. If you are looking for an all-round watch, the Casio G-Shock GW-9400-1ER from Clock Room will be a great choice. I recommend!

Why did I choose this watch? Many years ago, I had a GW-9200 Riseman, and I wanted to have an all-purpose G-Shock again. The choice seemed obvious—the successor to the Riseman, the Rangeman GW-9400-1ER.
This watch is like the multitool I always carry with me. I mainly use the knife, but you never know when pliers, scissors, or something else might come in handy.
It’s the same with the Rangeman. It has tons of features you don’t use very often, but sometimes they come in handy, and knowing you can use them at any moment makes the watch even more enjoyable. What doesn’t it have... The list goes on and on.

The watch—specifically the RANGEMAN G-SHOCK GW-9400-1ER—arrived within two days of ordering. I won’t go into detail about the technical specs, as you can read all about them on the product page. The most important features that mattered to me—and which were the deciding factors in choosing this model—are the thermometer, barometer, altimeter, and compass. The thermometer is only so-so at measuring temperature (it gets heated up by your wrist and skews the reading), and the altimeter is hit or miss depending on the weather—sometimes it works right, sometimes it doesn’t. Only the compass seems reliable, but after I put on my bullbars, it started giving off inaccurate readings sometimes too. Other than that, the display is easy to read. The GW-9400 is a perfectly functioning watch with a great compass, barometer, and altimeter, but unfortunately, to measure the temperature, you have to take it off your wrist, because when worn, it always shows about 31 degrees C. When taken off the wrist, there is a difference of +/- 1-2 degrees from the actual temperature. The barometer shows the same hPa reading as reported on the radio, but most importantly, the top display shows pressure drops or increases graphically, so even without glasses you can see if it’s rising or falling, and that’s probably the main point (at least for me). The altitude is accurate, matching the map to within +/- a few meters. A lot depends on the weather. Overall, I recommend it and hope I made a good purchase for the next dozen or so years. One more thing: the blue backlight is better than the green one, and the time synchronization works fine.Włodek
