CIGA Design U Series Blue Planet II Atlantic Titanium Automatic GPHG 2021 U039-TU01-W6U is an automatic men's watch featuring a titanium case that stands out for its low weight and resistance to everyday wear and tear. The central element of the design is a spacious dial inspired by a map of the Atlantic Ocean, depicting the sea and the continents that form its basin, made using precision CNC machining technology. The model uses Asynchronous-Follow technology, based on a modified display system in which a fixed hour scale works with a dynamic minute indicator. In this solution, the hour indicator moves within a range of 30°, while the minute indicator rotates 390°, allowing the time to be read from a single fixed point. The mechanism design won the Challenge Watch Prize at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) in 2021. The whole is complemented by a blue silicone strap and a double-curved sapphire crystal protecting the dial. Water resistance of 3 ATM means resistance to minor splashes.
