The Ball Engineer Hydrocarbon Original DM2218B-PCJ-BK men's watch is driven to work by the Ball RR1102-C Swiss automatic movement bearing 25 jewels with a 38-hour COSC-certified power reserve. The model features the patented SpringLOCK® anti-shock system, patented SpringSEAL® anti-shock system, patented Amortiser® anti-shock system, patented crown protection system, 80,000 A/m anti-magnetic system and 7500 Gs shock resistance. The envelope is made of mu-metal, an alloy of nickel, iron, copper and molybdenum. Its use in the envelope is intended to weaken the effect of magnetic fields on the mechanical drive of the watch. The black dial is complemented by a day-of-the-month and day-of-the-week date, as well as 30 tritium micro gas tubes. The dial is protected by a convex sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective coating. The model has a rotating bezel, screw-down crown and a screw-down caseback, which, along with a water resistance rating of 20 ATM, allows for diving. The whole is complemented by a rubber black strap.

SpringSEAL is a patented system designed to protect the gait regulator assembly. It secures its positioning so that it cannot change position during impact. There is no need to adjust the mechanism after impact.
SpringLOCK
The patented SpringLOCK system protects the mechanism against external forces and reduces the impact of shocks by approximately 66%. The balance hair is placed in a cage, which reduces the risk of tangling or deformation during a fall.
Amortiser – patented anti-shock system
The patented shock-absorbing system that the model is equipped with is designed to protect the watch mechanism against shocks and increase its durability and reliability in everyday use.
Anti-Magnetism
The antimagnetic system that the model is equipped with protects the watch against the influence of magnetic fields. This solution allows to increase the precision and durability of the mechanism in various conditions.
