The Ball Engineer Hydrocarbon NEDU DC3226A-S3C-BE men's watch is an interesting diving model. Its name comes from the Navy Experimental Diving Unit (NEDU), a branch of the US Navy that deals with operational diving standards and sets decompression rules for its divers. The NEDU is actually the group responsible for creating decompression tables. These tables show how fast a diver can ascend. For this reason, the water resistance of the watch is as high as 60 ATM. Besides, the model is equipped with a number of useful functionalities, such as the 4,800A/m anti-magnetic system, shock resistance of 7,500 Gs, helium valve, ceramic rotating bezel and patented crown protection system. The watch bases its operation on the Swiss Ball RR1402-C automatic movement bearing 25 jewels, with a 48-hour power reserve and COSC certification. The envelope and bracelet are made of titanium. The blue dial with red elements is complemented by a day-of-the-month, day-of-the-week, chronograph and 21 tritium micro gas tubes. The dial is protected by sapphire glass with anti-reflection.
Innovative sticks with micro H₃ gas are responsible for the visibility of the time in the dark, which ensures uninterrupted backlight, durability up to 25 years and no need to charge with external light.
The precise in-house mechanism has been certified as a COSC chronometer. It is distinguished by high efficiency, long-lasting power reserve and advanced technologies affecting reliability.
The antimagnetic system that the model is equipped with protects the watch against the influence of magnetic fields. This solution allows to increase the precision and durability of the mechanism in various conditions.
The shock resistance system indicates how well the watch handles mechanical shocks. The axles that hold the balance wheel are mounted in a spring suspension system that protects if the watch is dropped.
The model is equipped with a helium valve designed for decompression, which protects the watch against damage during diving, increases safety and is responsible for the durability of the mechanism.
Swiss automatic movement with a diameter of 30 mm and a height of 7.9 mm, functions: hours, minutes, seconds, days and date. Chronograph up to 12 hours, power reserve 48 hours.
