The Atlantic Worldmaster Manufacture Mechanical 52952.41.73 is a watch designed for men who appreciate high-end models. The green dial is set in a steel envelope paired with a black genuine leather strap. The vintage-style device is equipped with a sub-dial seconds hand, convex sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective coating on both sides, and a Swiss-made manually-wound ATL-2 mechanical movement with a 50-hour power reserve.

1/9/25The Swiss brand Atlantic is rather obscure outside the eastern Europe. As I’m coming from there, I grew up hearing best things about Doxa and Atlantic, so it came a surprise to me that they were not as famous as I thought. After the initial surprise, this is now to me a big plus, as we’re talking about independent manufacturers outside the Swatch Group. So, recently came the Atlantic time for me and I decided for this hand-wound watch which I love a lot.
The 42 mm case is finely polished and wears nicely on my 18 cm wrist, although while waiting for the order I was afraid it would be too big. The green dial is clean and fine but not gorgeous, as in my opinion misses some texture to make it more eye-catching in the sunlight. The dial looks good without a date window. Readability is very good both during the day and in the dark, thanks to the slightly above-average lume. The watch features a manufacture hand-wound movement, which has weighed a lot in my choice. It doesn’t have the hack function, and that would have been a nice feature. After wearing it for three weeks, it’s scarily accurate, averaging ca. +0.2 sec/day; the biggest variation was a +8 sec measurement. It definitely outperforms some of the COSC-certified watches I’ve had. I haven’t checked yet the power reserve, which is reported to be 50 hours.
All in all, it’s an excellent watch with a very good manufacture movement that I highly recommend.

9/8/23The watch walks sensationally, very accurate, elegant. The failure is the strap with butterfly clasp, it is impossible to wear it on the hand at least for me. Fortunately, there is a solution you need to buy a bracelet from another Atlantica fits perfectly and then it is ok. Strange that there is no original version with a bracelet not everyone likes straps.
