If one decides on an automatic watch, it's certainly not just about indicating the time accurately, as quartz watches are more accurate, but about materializing and framing one's thoughts and memories in a certain way. For me, the Adriatica brand watch is associated with the first watch my dad owned - of course, it was a different model, but by the brand itself, a certain part of my thoughts are already headed in that direction. By its very nature, the watch in its own peculiar way accompanies us every day, just as the memories associated with it, but unarticulated, shape our character. After all, an automatic watch is one whose work we can observe and feel in a direct way the changing time, imprinting its mark on the mechanism as much as on the memories, which equally need to be cherished.
Adriatica, at an extremely affordable price, makes it possible to reach the Swiss standards of automatic timepieces - and what kind of timepieces, because of the immortal ETA-2842! What's more, the aforementioned mechanism is differentiated into 4 classes: at this price, I expected a rather lower class (which still means a great timepiece) and to my surprise the anti-shock system is Incabloc, proper for the highest classes! The aesthetics of the watch itself give us a lot of freedom to wear it: formal, but also casual. I personally associate it, because of the color scheme, with the "Chopin" watch, and it suits me very well. I managed to buy this watch at a very favorable price at the Watch House, and I must say that it is NOT possible to buy a technically better watch bearing the "Swiss made" label for this money. The £1,600 normal price is still a good deal, but please look carefully for Clockworks discount codes.
The purchase was very successful and the lady handling my order was courteous, she even showed some initiative in allowing faster and hassle-free delivery of the watch.
