Casio is a Japanese company founded in 1946 by Tadao Kashio. The accompanying progress of the company allowed in 1983 to create the first watch from the G-shock series, which initiated the production of a line of indestructible timepieces, recognized and desired around the world. Japanese engineers, taught by many years of experience, have made every effort to ensure that their series of watches is resistant to impacts and shocks, its mechanism is accurate and durable, and the appearance of the G-shock series watch is highly absorbing. The letter G here stands for gravity, strongly referring to the watch's resistance to falls from long distances. Personally, I have 3 Casio watches from the G-shock series and I am extremely pleased with them. The hero of this review will be the red Casio G-shock GA-100B-4AER. Let me start with the appearance. The watch, thanks to its red, matte color, which is very important, looks amazing on the hand. Much better than the pictures on the net. It catches the eye and positively surprises friends. I must mention that despite its considerable size, the watch is comfortable and comfortable to wear. A solid buckle (two rows of holes) and a comfortable and durable strap ensure a sense of security and awareness of wearing a high-end product. A large case with a large dial is the greatest asset of this G-Shock. Even though a lot is going on here, everything is easy to read and very clear. As this model is analog-digital, the time can be read using the hands or in the left screen, in digital form - in the same place we can switch between showing the time (in 12 or 24 hour mode), or set it to permanent date display. The right display shows the current day of the week and the seconds. At the top we have a pointer, with an accompanying window that is used to show our average speed. When we finish the run, in addition to time, we will find out the average speed we were running. The circular window tells us what modes are active - whether we have an alarm, a sleepyhead alarm, an hourly signal and an automatic dial backlight function. I love the solutions included in this model, because everything is clearly visible. Let's move on to the modes and capabilities of the watch. The time, as already mentioned, can be displayed in either 12 or 24 hour mode. There is also a useful DST function - summer and winter time mode. When it is winter time, we do not have to manually change the clock, we only hold the button, and the watch itself sets the time, displaying the correct time. For athletes, there is an advanced stopwatch with an accuracy of 1/1000 of a second, with interval and lap modes, and the aforementioned speed measurement - amazing fun to use this function. A timer, i.e. counting down the time, with the option of automatically repeating the countdown, will be useful in training, but also during cooking or baking - a very practical function for the forgetful. The next mode is world time. This model displays the time in 48 cities around the world. It can be useful in many professions, when we have a family abroad, or while traveling. There is a way (by holding down two buttons) to immediately change the main time display of our place of residence with the time of another time zone, to which e.g. we are just traveling. Displaying these times will switch places, no setup required. The last of the modes are alarms, and it's good here too. We have 5 alarms at our disposal - 4 daily and 1 sleepy alarm, and the ability to turn on the SIG function, i.e. a short beep at the same time each time. I love this function because absorbed in some activities, I can control my time better. The hour points are covered with a luminescent substance, thanks to which they glow in the dark, after prior contact with a light source. Unfortunately, the manufacturer did not cover the hands with this substance, so in the dark we cannot read the time using this solution - but in my opinion, it is an insignificant detail. As for the backlight, the amber diode located at the bottom of the dial is responsible for it. It does not illuminate the entire dial strongly, but it is enough to read the time in the dark, creating a beautiful atmosphere with its amber light. You can choose the length of the backlight time - 1.5 or 3 seconds. This timer has a very nice option on this topic. By holding the appropriate button, we can activate the automatic backlight function. When we turn our hand with the watch towards the face, the backlight will turn on by itself - very useful when we are doing something in the dark with our hands full. Rather a good thing, but it is. Of course, the watch from this legendary series will not surprise anyone, increased resistance to shocks, falls and impacts, a very resistant mineral glass that is hidden inside the bezel and the water resistance of the watch at 200 meters, which allows for specific water sports. An interesting fact is that this watch has a function of protection against the effects of a magnetic field. The whole thing is completed by a precise quartz movement which drives the watch, with an automatic calendar and a 3 + 3 year warranty system. As far as I am concerned, this is great value for money. I have it for over 2 years and despite everyday use, in various conditions, it looks and works great. If you are looking for a really decent and durable watch, with an interesting and eye-catching design and lots of practical functions, you couldn't have found a better place. Casio G-shock GA-100B-4AER is a reliable companion for many years.

I bought it in Zegownia in August. It works flawlessly, and the night lighting (gas tubes) is space :-). Highly legible readings, regardless of the time of day or night. My only remark is that the window with the date is a bit too small, but it's a matter of ... eyesight, and mine has deteriorated recently :-). I've always wanted a sports watch - and as a Casio fan, mainly because of the quality and design, the choice was simple. The AEQ-110W-1AVEF model looks like a typical G-Shock watch. Massive, sporty look, silicone strap, both analog and digital clock, a multitude of functions needed during training and in everyday life are its advantages. The only thing it does not have, compared to its "cousin", is a quartz glass (more resistant to serious scratches) and the inscription "G-Shock" on the watch face. If it weren't for the latter, no one, even with a nose at the directions, would know that it was not the latter. Casio is my partner in the gym and desk work. Water resistance of 100 m is perfect for the swimming pool. The stopwatch and countdown function work flawlessly. Calendar and alarm clock - great. Even in the evenings, when I go to the garage to tinker, I no longer have to worry about my watch and take it off every time. The only thing that is unnecessary for me in this watch is the function of remembering the phone number - to enter a number, you have to click hard. You also need to have a lot of patience with reading it, until the entire number scrolls through a fairly small display. If someone does not train extreme sports and does not need equipment that can withstand a bomb explosion, this watch will be perfect for everyday use. Design is definitely to my taste. I heartily recommend :).
