Vostok Europe is the child of two other companies - Lithuanian Vilnius Koliz and Russian Khristopol Watch. It was founded in 2003 and already a year later promoted itself at the Baselworld Fair. It instantly gained popularity as a brand producing timepieces that are incredibly rugged and waterproof, ideal as gear for any, even extreme conditions - Vostok watches have already been to the Arctic Circle, Kruber's Cave, the world's deepest cave, and even in space. This has secured Vostok's place among some of the finest, most durable timepieces in the world.

H3 - modern backlight technology
H3 technology, or tritium backlighting of the dial and hands of the Anchar NH35A-510C530S watch, works 100 times stronger than luminescent coating and can glow for up to 25 years. The designation H3 is the chemical formula of tritium, an isotope of hydrogen - with illumination of this kind, the brightness remains constant for 10 years. After 12 years, the luminous power drops by 50%, and only after 24 years to 25% of the initial brightness. Coming from the Swiss company Mb-Microtect, tritium lighting is self-igniting, which means that no switch and no battery or rechargeable battery are needed. What's more, tritium tubes also require no servicing and, most importantly, no recharging.
