Aviation history of Laco watches
In the 1930s and 1940s, however, during the war effort, Laco began producing a special line of timepieces designed for pilots, also known as aviation watches and observer watches. Such timepieces were equipped with top-quality "major" mechanisms and highly legible dials, designed according to strict recommendations of official specifications. The watches were to facilitate navigation and feature high reliability. Only 5 German timepiece manufacturers were allowed to produce military aircraft watches at the time - among them was the Lacher Co.
