When the list of daily duties includes full-time work, raising a two-year-old offspring, finishing a newly purchased house, helping his wife keep the current apartment and taking care of her physical condition, you need an assistant who will help you manage everything and fit all the activities during the day. Someone from special assignments who will be - to quote the movie classic - "like Tommy Lee Jones in The Fugitive". I found him. This is the Casio G-Shock GST-B200B-1AER watch. To say it's my right hand (though I wear it on my left) is like saying nothing. Among the endless range of watches available on the market, this "tit" is for me a true soldier on the battlefield and ... an army commander at the same time. If any of you have doubts as to whether new technologies can surprise us with anything else, this watch is the perfect proof that they can. It may seem like a model with basic functions, but in fact it has an extremely wide "repertoire of plays". Some of these cool features are related to the fact that the watch has… Bluetooth! If I had heard a few years ago that watches would connect to the phone via Bluetooth, I would have thought it was part of a science fiction movie script, but now I have it literally at my fingertips. For me, the Bluetooth function will be most useful when changing from winter to summer time (and vice versa). My brother-in-law, who had an older G-Shock model without Bluetooth, had to use a special instruction to change the time as it was quite convoluted. In the case of the GST-B200B-1AER model, the entire process can be carried out from the smartphone (after pairing it with the watch). This is a real help. The application itself, however, gives many more possibilities and discovering all its functions is a great way to spend your free time. It is also very cool to put a solar battery in the watch. To recharge it, you just need to take advantage of the sunny weather, and when the battery is fully filled, you can use this "tit" for several months. In this context, the battery charge indicator that fits on the watch face is useful. Thanks to this, it is known when it needs to be "refueled with solar fuel". On the other hand, the manual for the watch clearly explains how long it takes to "light" the watch to achieve the desired battery level. The programmed battery saving mode also extends the working time. This watch resembles a smartphone or a computer in its functionality! The added value of this model (at least for me) is its minimalistic appearance compared to other G-Shock models, which can be very flashy. The model I have is extremely universal and sometimes I even wear it with ... a suit. All my life so far, I thought that wearing a sports watch with a suit is like wearing running shoes. Having this model of G-Shock, I modified my thinking on this subject - in combination with a semi-formal outfit it looks at least favorable. Subdued, black colors, also enriched with subdued gray elements and minimal red accents, is a perfect combination. Subtle and eye-catching at the same time. Side buttons look good, they look massive, but they are easy to press. It is also amazing that this watch, although it looks chunky and "pithy", at the same time does not have large dimensions and looks very good on my slim wrist! So far, this has been one of the main reasons I haven't even considered purchasing a G-Shock; I was afraid that it would look caricatured on my skinny arm. This model looks perfect even on people whose wrist diameter does not exceed a dozen or so centimeters. The watch is not heavy, although you can feel it on your wrist. However, it does not hinder any movement of the hand or make it tired after wearing it all day. For sports lovers, and I myself am, a stopwatch is also useful, which allows you to count time up to a thousandth of a second! Those who watched speed skating at the Winter Olympics in Sochi know very well that such a small fraction of a second can decide about a gold medal. There is also something for sleepyheads (again, this is true for me). Well, in this watch I can set up to 5 alarms and additionally set a schedule for their operation. Someone will say: "why do you need alarms on your watch, if today the alarm clock is set on the phone?" Yes, I also set an alarm clock on my phone, but every morning the gravity in my bed is so strong that I often need several dozen minutes to get up. Therefore, additional alarms are worth their weight in gold for me (and the importance of not being late to work). I also find it attractive that the days of the week can be displayed in several different languages. I really like learning a foreign language by "surrounding" myself in everyday activities, so this way I can consolidate the basic vocabulary. And one more advantage - seemingly trivial, but when having a small child, it turns out to be useful. The point is ... the ability to reset the watch to factory settings. Yes, yes, this watch is so powerful in functionality that it can be reset to "zero" if necessary. It was useful for me when my little toddler started to play with it and inadvertently changed some of my settings. Rather than checking in turn which ones were changed, a faster solution was to set everything up anew. To sum up: all my life so far I have been a supporter of classic watches, because I was repelled from sports watches by too many elements on the dial, large size and their incompatibility with elegant clothes. This G-Shock model turned my thinking about it 180 degrees. How many cool and useful functions this watch has is also evidenced by the fact that while writing this review at some point ... I already lacked the appropriate epithets to describe all the advantages. I do not regret a single zloty spent on this watch.
