Women's Certina Urban DS Podium Lady watch C001.007.22.116.00 is a beautiful luxury model for ladies who want to impress with the best Swiss Made workmanship and extraordinary decorations. The attention is drawn to the dial, which is entirely covered with mother-of-pearl and equipped with a date of the days of the month. The indexes have been replaced with 11 genuine Top Wesselton diamonds (0.055 ct). All this is protected by a hard sapphire glass with anti-reflective coating on both sides. Both the envelope and the segmented bracelet are made of 316L stainless steel in silver and rose gold (PVD coating). Precise timekeeping is ensured by the ETA 2671 automatic movement, which is equipped with the DS dual protection system. 100 meters of water resistance protects the inside of the case during surface swimming. The product C0010072211600 comes with a 2-year warranty.
Functions
Steel
The 316L stainless steel, which Certina uses for cases, bracelets and clasps for instance, is extremely resistant, corrosion-resistant and hygienic. It contains only a very small proportion of nickel, which is not emitted when worn and therefore does not trigger any nickel allergies.
Sapphire
Sapphire watch crystal is made of aluminium oxide powder (Al2O3) heated to over 2000°C. The resultant sapphire nugget is cut with great precision into fine slices, trimmed and polished. Sapphire is extremely scratch-resistant, shock-resistant and is very transparent. This is why sapphire crystal is an essential element in the DS Concept.
Diamonds
Diamond is the hardest natural material in the world. Rough diamonds are polished for use in the watch and jewellery industry and assessed by means of the four "C" criteria: cut, colour, clarity, carat. Certina only uses diamonds that meet the requirements of the Kimberley Process, an international system for certifying raw diamonds.
MOP
MOP is the acronym for mother-of-pearl. This organic material, which Certina uses for particularly precious dials on women's watches, comes from the innermost layer of shell of some molluscs. Iridescent, shimmery mother-of-pearl is very brittle and must be processed with great care.
DS
Since 1959, the DS Concept has reflected Certina's uncompromising standards. PVD
PVD is the abbreviation for physical vapour deposition and refers to an extremely modern coating method by means of which a material, for instance gold, can be transferred to your choice of steel or titanium workpiece in vapour form. The result is as fine as it is durable: PVD is resistant, corrosion-resistant and very hard.

2/22/22Subtle crush. The amazing blued mother-of-pearl dial is simply stunning! And those diamonds! Outstandingly feminine model, I'm glad I came across it. I wear it to the most important occasions, sometimes to work for high-level meetings. It is strong and shimmers wonderfully.
