Casio watches have seduced me with their possibilities, appearance and solid workmanship since I was a child. When buying and then wearing Casio watches from the G-Shock series for many years, this company convinced me, in practically every respect. Many watch enthusiasts associate the Japanese manufacturer with a specific brand that, when producing its timepieces, focuses on reliability, durability and innovation. The motto of the Casio company is - "Creativity and Contribution" and I must honestly say that using Casio watches and reading opinions and reviews about them, it is impossible to disagree with it. Although, let me remind you and mention that we are talking about watches from the legendary G-Shock series. What is the situation when we buy a slightly cheaper product, not signed with the G series? Browsing the watches of the company in question online, I came across a model that immediately caught my attention with its appearance, possibilities and, above all, price. We are talking about the Casio SGW-600H-1BER. Reading the opinions and information about it, intrigued by its design, I decided to buy it. I will honestly add that with a bit of concern, because the promotional, very low price indicated an "ordinary" watch, which, however, may not meet my standards. After reaching me and carrying it for 1 day, I knew that my worries were unnecessary and the watch made a really great impression. I was not convinced if a watch in this price range could be a hit purchase - luckily Casio dispelled my doubts. The watch was bought in the Zegownia store, with professional service and instant shipping. In the Casio carton we will find guarantees (here we have 3 years as standard for the start, paying 20 PLN, we extend it for another 3), instructions, papers and, interestingly, a plastic, closed watch stand, in which it will be protected against dust, at the same time looking great. . The watch itself is standard size, all black, with three little red accents, which definitely adds character to it. Twisted with decent screws, it seems to be durable, but the producer from Tokyo has already got everyone used to it. Let's move on to the most interesting thing about this model, i.e. the dial. Generally, the dial is divided into three parts, and the directions of the world are plotted around it in a whole gradual scale. At the bottom, on the primary screen, the time is displayed, along with the date and day of the week, and this is done very clearly. The numbers are large and legible. In the upper part, under the 'bar' that separates the screens, there is a round window for displaying directions in compass mode. At the top, a significant part of the space is occupied by the screen, which, complementing the dial with its idea and design, made this model very interesting and worthy of interest to me. This is the second time zone display. There we have the time digitally shown in the time zone set by us, with the continents drawn. It is very impressive that depending on the city of the second zone we choose, its place on the displayed world graphics will light up, showing our choice. A brilliant solution that really pleases the eye. In terms of function and value for money, it is very good, even great. We have the aforementioned clear indications of the time, date and second time zone, with a graphic addition. We have a separate world time mode where we will find out what the time is now in 48 cities, located in 31 time zones - while having the time of our location displayed and at the top of the location of the second time zone set. (Neither of my G-Shock has been able to display so many hours information on a single screen). Then a stopwatch, with the possibility of intervals and an accuracy of 1/100 of a second, can count up to 100 hours. Naturally, the timer, i.e. counting backwards, with the possibility of automatic resuming the countdown, with a maximum duration of one day. Five alarms, including one sleepyhead alarm and the fun feature of turning on the hourly signal. The functions of this model do not end there. We have a separate compass mode where degrees and directions are displayed. The round window on the display also helps to navigate in the graphic form. In this mode, the current time and a thermometer are also present. The backlight of the watch is done very well here. The entire dial is highlighted in green, allowing you to accurately read all information. (Choice of 1 or 3 seconds). This watch is 100 meters water resistant, so we can swim in it. The timer is powered by a reliable quartz movement, and the manufacturer writes that the watch will work for 5 years on one battery. In addition, I will mention that the function of turning on the winter time is available - DST, mute the sounds of the watch and a quick change of the local time display with the time of the second time zone - (swapping display places, useful when traveling). The watch is comfortable and fits well in your hand. Casio SGW-600H-1BER is a very good proposition for active people who target a specific price range. The cool and very interesting design of the dial, the multitude of functions that work, as befits the Casio company, and the solid workmanship make it difficult to find an equally interesting model at such a favorable price.
