A sporty watch in an elegant style.
Kikuo Ibe, that is, the Japanese engineer of the Casio brand, when designing the "G-SHOCK" line, took as his goal the creation of a shock- and drop-resistant watch. These timeless watches have been on the world market since 1983, so this collection has been winning its fans for almost 40 years! "Younger sister", that is, the women's version of the Baby-G has been with us since 1995.
I have been testing this watch for a few weeks, although I have been familiar with the "G" line for much longer. I'm certainly one of the many to whom the series has been very much to my liking. The factors that first and foremost convinced me to buy another Baby-G are: iconic design, durability and reliability. Despite the fact that it is considered a sporty watch - I myself like to combine it with office styling on a daily basis. It is no accident that I chose this model, in this very color scheme: a combination of timeless matte black with details in fashionable rose gold. Contrary to appearances, the watch is very feminine - definitely smaller compared to its bigger brother and made of very light materials. The dial looks very solid, and the glass is indeed scratch-resistant (I don't save the watch and wear it with a bracelet). The buttons work flawlessly, are well placed and do not interfere with anything. The only drawback in my opinion is the backlight. Of course, after using it in the dark, we will certainly be able to read the time from the hands, but we will certainly not be able to see what the "electronic" parts of the watch show. As you know, Casio uses two color versions of the display in its watches: black numerals on a light background and light numerals on a black background. In this case, the latter is used. This has a positive effect on the favorable appearance of the whole, although you have to strain your eyes more when reading the data.
The bracelet is very comfortable and has a very large adjustment range. The buckles and the inner metal part of the dial are not allergenic.
The watch tells a lot of useful functions, which, if I am honest, I rather do not use. I occasionally use the stopwatch and the world time. Setting up the watch for a non-technical person was trivial and took very little time. The manual is clear and worth reading to get to know this watch and to remember the tips for use and possible servicing.
The undoubted car is the warranty in the form of 3 years, which can be extended by another 3. This gives a total of 6 years of peace of mind. It is worth remembering that every 2 years you should replace the gasket in the watch, so as not to lose its water resistance (this is also required when using the warranty!). As for water resistance, I have not had the opportunity to swim in it, although bathing, rain or cleaning are not afraid of it. I practically do not part with it and nothing happens to it.
To sum up - a solid, sporty watch at a reasonable price. In my case it was a very apt gift, that is, a gift from myself to myself ;) Equipment worth recommending and trying out.
