Alpina watches is one of the Swiss brands that over the years, through perseverance, new ideas and continuous development, has achieved mastery in designing and building watches, using advanced technologies to protect the watch from damage in the process.
How were Alpina watches created?
The company itself was born in 1883 as a union of several manufacturers of parts for watch mechanisms. Gottlieb Hauser, the founder of the Swiss watchmakers' association, wanted to steer the Swiss watch industry in the same way that mountaineers operate when they climb peaks together. Hauser dreamed of unifying Swiss watchmakers so that they would all work together to design the most efficient mechanisms and put them in the most beautiful watches. The union soon began creating its own mechanisms. In 1901, the group decided to mark its mechanisms with the Alpina logo as we know it today to guard against the use of advanced mechanisms by other brands, and a few years later watches bearing the logo were created. By 1920, Alpina watches were sold throughout Europe in more than 2,000 outlets. In 1938 it launched its legendary creation, the Alpina 4 watch, which was designed to serve athletes, mountain rescuers or firefighters thanks to its high durability and resistance to shock and magnetic fields. Despite the "quartz revolution" that plunged the mechanical watch market into a deep crisis in the 1970s, Alpina remained an independent brand and today the headquarters is still located in Geneva, where innovative ideas are developed.

The third - is a proprietary shock protection system, preventing damage to the mechanism due to falls or impacts. The fourth protection system is a protection that nullifies changes in the operation of the watch caused by magnetic fields, thus ensuring continuously correct operation.
