The new Sternglas model is distinguished by its simple and timeless design. It is a typical example of Hanseatic elegance suitable for any occasion - both business and less formal. Just as a buoy provides orientation on a rough sea, the new Sternglas model does so in a very graceful and elegant way. The classic dial and Super-LumiNova on the hands ensure optimum legibility, even in poor lighting conditions. The Hamburg Edition Hafen is an exceptional watch, limited to just 1,500 pieces.
Sapphire glass and double anti-reflective coating
The dial is protected from damage by sapphire glass. To ensure excellent visibility of the dial, a double anti-reflective coating has been applied to the sapphire glass. The dial with its red and white ring resembles a signal buoy through a quartet of colours: white, grey, red and anthracite. These are the same colours used to mark the middle channel, which indicates the deepest point of the Hamburg harbour basin and marks the centre of the shipping lanes. The watch's envelope is made of 316L stainless steel. Like all Sternglas watches, this one too is water resistant up to 5 ATM.

The screw-down caseback of the Sternglas watch is decorated with a detailed engraving that pays homage to the rich and significant history of the port: the container ship against the iconic skyline of the Hanseatic city symbolises the fusion of traditional and modern world trade. The bezel of this model is polished, while the envelope and the caseback are brushed. This makes the Hamburg Edition Hafen more visually complex and appears slimmer than its predecessors.
